The College of Education and Human Development has over 300 faculty and staff, dedicated to promoting learning and development in our students and helping to develop solutions to the problems that face our schools and the challenges encountered by children, adults, families and the communities in which they live.

Our faculty has received prestigious awards at the University:
Alison Award– Roberta Golinkoff, Unidel H. Rodney Sharp Chair in the School of Education, was presented the 2011 Francis Alison Award, the highest honor bestowed on a UD faculty member. This honor acknowledges Golinkoff’s dedication to scholarship and teaching, including major contributions to research on language acquisition and strong public engagement with research on early learning.
Excellence in Advising Award
2013: Marsha Baumeister, assistant professor of Education was recognized by UD for excellence in mentoring and advising.
2011: Lynn Worden, Assistant Professor and Undergraduate Coordinator in HDFS, and Stephanie Kotch, Elementary Teacher Education Field Experience Coordinator for SOE, were recognized for their outstanding work in teaching and advising.
Excellence in Teaching Award
2013: Gary Allison, assistant professor of Special Education, received UD’s Excellence in Teaching Award.
