Delaware Child Psychiatry Access Program, Division of Prevention and Behavioral Health Services, Department of Services for Children, Youth and Families
The Delaware Child Psychiatry Access Program (DCPAP) offers services to pediatric serving primary care practitioners such as pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. DCPAP provides consultations with a child psychiatrist to pediatric primary care providers so that they may expand their services to children and adolescents within their own practice, thereby providing behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment without having to refer their patients to a child psychiatrist, which may result in the lack of care for several months and longer. DCPAP also offers training and education sessions for pediatric primary care providers, and other behavioral health professionals, so that they may expand the care and treatment of their patients.
