Alisha Fletcher
Assistant Professor
Alisha Fletcher is an assistant professor specializing in social work in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Delaware.
Prior to this role, Fletcher served as the director of the Delaware Network for Excellence in Autism in the College’s Center for Disabilities Studies (CDS), overseeing projects that provide resources, training and technical assistance that benefit individuals with autism, their families and the professionals who serve them.
Before joining CDS, Fletcher worked as a licensed clinical social worker in an outpatient mental health setting, specializing in supporting children, neurodivergent individuals and their families. She also has an extensive background in early childhood education.
Fletcher earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in social work from the University of Pennsylvania.
She lives in Lewes, Delaware, with her husband and enjoys spending time with her family, especially at the beach and on the water.
