CEHD Assistant Professor’s Research Featured on Top 10 Education Studies

Education Week featured the mathematics research of Christina Barbieri, assistant professor in the College of Education and Human Development’s School of Education, as one of the top 10 education studies amongst their readers. In her meta-analysis of more than 100 studies of math interventions, Barbieri and her co-authors found that students who studied already-worked example problems improved their performance in mathematics more than students who used a different study approach. Barbieri and her team also found that students who faced challenges in mathematics benefited from studying and discussing incorrectly worked problems.
