In the interview, Baker discusses a study she co-authored on how social networks influence the way that people write about and talk about student loan policy in the media. Baker’s study explores how authors’ educational backgrounds, particularly whether they attended prestigious institutions, correlate with the language and perspectives they use when writing about student loans.
