Human Services senior Kelsey Buchanan was honored once again Monday as the center was named a Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week.

Buchanan eclipsed the 30-point mark for the first time in her career after putting up 33 points on 10-of-24 shooting from the floor and 13 free throws in the Blue Hens’ 85-71 victory over the College of Charleston Friday afternoon.  The South Riding, Va. native added 12 rebounds in the contest for her seventh double double of the season.

Kelsey chose UD because she loved the campus. She has worked as a Blue Hen Ambassador over the summer and has also visited South Africa for three weeks each of the last two summers. Kelsey is completing her degree in Human Services with a concentration in Administration and Family Policy.  She hopes to become a guidance counselor.
