The College of Education & Human Development is hosting a wide range of events this fall.  Please join us for:

HDFS Open House/Resource Fair

September 252:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Human Services & ECE majors and HDFS minors are encouraged to attend the HDFS Open House/Resource Fair in Alison Hall West. Students will have the opportunity to meet HDFS faculty/staff, learn about student opportunities and campus resources, meet with advisors from the HDFS Advisement Center, and get important UD and HDFS information. Light refreshments will be provided.

 

Blue and Golden Saturdays 

September 29 and October 13, 8:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.
Prospective students and families are invited to spend the day at UD, learning about all our college has to offer. Registration is requested

 

UD Parents & Family Weekend

October 5-7
A number of great events are taking place during the weekend, and a full listing is available on the Parents and Family Weekend website.  

In addition, CEHD will be hosting an open house from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Alison Hall West Lobby.  We invite parents and families to meet administrators and faculty from our College.  College of Education & Human Development student ambassadors will be available to answer questions about student life in our college and on campus.  Light refreshments will be served.

  • Oct. 18 – Kristen Ritchey & David Coker: Assessing Writing to Guide Instructional Decisions in the Primary Grades
  • Nov. 15 – Christine Ohannessian: Discrepancies in Adolescents’ and their Parents’ Perceptions of the Family and Adolescent Adjustment
  • Dec. 6 – George Bear: School Climate: Differences between the US and China

CDS Lunchtime Learning

Thursday, October 11, 12 noon – 1 p.m.
As part of National Bullying Prevention Month, George Bear, Ph.D. and Debby Boyer, M.S. will present a program at CDS (Wyoming Road) discussing the Delaware School Climate Surveys.  This workshop is free and attendees are welcome to bring a bag lunch. Water and snacks will be provided. Please register with Katie Hoffman at khoffman@udel.edu and indicate if you need an accommodation.
