Practicum Education Coordinator

LeAnn DiBenedetto, LCSW, is the practicum education coordinator for the social work program in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Delaware. She oversees practicum education for social work students, including identifying eligible students, developing partnerships with community organizations, and coordinating practicum placements that support student learning and professional growth.

With nearly three decades of diverse experience in social work, DiBenedetto’s professional background spans child welfare, behavioral health, and integrated care across the lifespan. She has held leadership roles in program administration and supervision, guided new program development and implementation, and supported professional growth and leadership among social work practitioners and interns in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey.

DiBenedetto earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Temple University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her current work centers on strengthening partnerships with local organizations to ensure high-quality practicum experiences that prepare students to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities. She is deeply committed to supporting the next generation of social workers through meaningful, collaborative practicum education.

DiBenedetto is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Improvement for Educational Leaders at the University of Delaware.
