Attendees at the first TEDxWilmington conference on August 9 were treated to a presentation by Bahira Sherif Trask, professor of human development and family studies and an expert in globalization and family dynamics.

Trask was one of four speakers, who provided an 18- minute lecture, followed by an opportunity to mingle with the 100  guests for deeper discussions among small groups. She shared several stories from her research about the changing family dynamics around the world and the impact these types of shifts have on the economy, families and relationships.
