CEHD Professor Shares Insight on the Benefits of Children’s Toys

Roberta Michnick Golinkoff, Unidel H. Rodney Sharp Chair and professor in the College of Education and Human Development’s (CEHD) School of Education, was featured in several news outlets on the benefits of toys and games for children. Golinkoff encouraged parents to consider the “six C’s” when shopping for children’s toys and games: collaboration, communication, content, creative innovation, critical thinking and confidence. The best toys allow children to engage in imaginative play, practice communication and develop fine motor skills.
