A student presents research at the 2025 Steele Symposium.

College of Education and Human Development will host celebration of student research on April 24

This April, the University of Delaware College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) will host the Marion H. Steele Research Symposium to share and celebrate the innovative research of its undergraduate and graduate students in education, human development and related disciplines. This year’s annual event will take place from 12:30 to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at the John M. Clayton Hall and Conference Center on UD’s Newark campus.

Over the past 41 years, more than 450 undergraduate and graduate students have presented their research in this symposium. This year, the event will feature student presentations and poster sessions, remarks from Rena Hallam, interim dean of CEHD, a panel on learning and thriving across the lifespan featuring CEHD faculty and the presentation of student awards.

Students will share research in early care and education, digital media and AI in education, disabilities studies, math teaching and learning, multilingual learner education and school policy and decision-making, among other topics.

All UD community members are invited to attend.

This event is made possible through the generous support of the Steele Family in memory of Marion H. Steele, a UD alumna.
