CEHD to redesign its college and academic websites to align with university-supported platform

This fall, University of Delaware’s College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) will kick off a redesign of its college and academic websites — the first since 2018. The updated sites will mirror the university’s current web format and transition to a new, university-supported platform, offering a clearer, more accessible and user-friendly experience for all audiences.

The redesign aims to streamline web content to better serve prospective and current students, faculty, staff and the broader community; align the college website with modern accessibility standards; and create a more sustainable site long-term. By migrating from its current WordPress platform to the university-supported Adobe Experience Manager, CEHD will benefit from centralized content management, consistent design and seamless integration with other UD sites, like UDaily. The project will be led in partnership with college leadership and program coordinators, the Office of Educational Technology and the CEHD Communications Team, especially Digital Communications Specialist Shelly Silva.

During the 2025-2026 academic year, the migration will begin with the college (including its Master of Social Work program), Department of Human Development and Family Sciences and School of Education sites. Faculty and staff will be involved throughout the process by reviewing their area’s web content and addressing related action items. Areas will receive guidance soon, with updates as the process progresses. Once the college and departments’ redesign is complete, CEHD Communications will support CEHD’s centers for research, education and service with a similar transition.

During the migration, CEHD Communications will continue to support digital communications requests and appreciates the college’s understanding and flexibility as Silva dedicates focused time to successfully complete this important project.
