Project PAC (Pre-Algebra Competence): Hiring
We are looking for responsible undergraduate and graduate students to work on our project as
research assistants (PI: Dr. Jessica Namkung, School of Education). The project aims at identifying
explicit links among cognitive (e.g., executive functions), language, and foundational math (e.g.,
number sense) processes that underlie pre- algebra competence for students with and without math
learning difficulties. You can help us administer various cognitive, language, and math assessments
to local middle school students and gain paid research experience. Work study students are also
welcome.
Rate: $15/Hour Requirements:
• Reliable transportation to local middle school sites
• At least 3-hour availability during school hours (8:00 am – 3:00 pm), 2 days a week from August
to November, 2022 and April to May, 2023.
Responsibilities (All necessary training will be provided):
• Administer cognitive, language, and math assessments to middle school students
• Score assessments
• Conduct fidelity checks
• Enter data
