Career and Life Studies Certificate (CLSC), Center for Disabilities Studies

The Career and Life Studies Certificate (CLSC) program is a full-time, two to four year, certificate program at the University of Delaware for students with intellectual disabilities (ID). CLSC provides integrated academic, career/technical, and life skills instruction in preparation for gainful employment or higher education. The long- term goals of the program are to enhance students’ self-determination, self-advocacy skills, and their social, academic, and employment networks. CLSC students attend classes, participate in work experiences and internships, and engage in campus life through a variety of activities in accordance with their academic, career, and personal goals. Students who successfully complete CLSC receive a certificate in Career and Life Studies from the University of Delaware’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies and College of Education & Human Development.
