Communities in Schools of Delaware

Communities In Schools of Delaware (CISDE) provides direct services to students and families affected by poverty and trauma in all three counties of Delaware. CISDE is an affiliate of the national organization and has been serving our state since 1992. It is our largest, most effective, dropout prevention organization with a mission to empower our young people to stay in school, graduate, and achieve in life.

Our model includes 3 tiers of service – whole school, small group, and one-on-one, based on the needs of the students and the school plan. We provide ten categories of service activities to include academic assistance, family engagement, career and college preparatory, community service, enrichment, and life skills. Our mantras are: “ALL In For Kids” and “In Schools to Help Kids Stay In Schools.” Our CISDE 2017-2018 Impact Report indicates our effectiveness and influence in Delaware.
