Joshua M. Freeman Foundation
The mission of the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation reads “Partnering to present memorable performances and provide inspired arts education for all.” The JMFF has two primary programs: The Freeman Stage and the Arts Access Initiative. The Freeman Stage, an outdoor performing arts venue located in southern Delaware, provides diverse artistic performances to residents, children and visitors of Delmarva. Since 2008, The Freeman Stage presents a mix of free and paid performances that spans a multitude of genres including dance, theatre, symphonic, opera and jazz. The Arts Access Initiative provides everyone, regardless of their financial status, access to the arts. This initiative consists of four programming elements: the Performing Arts Series, the Young Audience Series and the Community Access Program in conjunction with The Freeman Stage, and Arts in Education programming serving all K-12 grade students in Sussex County.
