Queer Development Research Lab

The Queer Development Lab is a research group in the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences with a mission of bridging scientific research to community impact thereby improving the lives of LGBTQ teens and young adults.
The research in this lab is focused in three areas: (1) understanding how stigma and discrimination drive mental health, unhealthy substance use, and other behavioral health disparities, (2) identifying sources of strength and resilience that allow queer young people to thrive, and (3) designing and testing interventions to eliminate health disparities and support healthy queer youth.
