Resources for Human Development (Choices)

Resources for Human Development is a national human services nonprofit with the broadest possible service mission, and specializes in creating innovative, quality services that support people of all abilities wherever the need exists. Founded in 1970, RHD supports more than 160 human service programs across the country, serving tens of thousands of people every year with caring and effective programs addressing intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, homelessness, addiction recovery and more.

The Choices program is located in Newark, Delaware has supported adults with intellectual and development with community-based residential services since 2006. Individuals in the program are supported by an interdisciplinary team with implementing their person-centered plans to include developing skills, community engagement, behavior management, healthcare needs, and more. Choices collaborates with multiple state agencies to best support individuals in the program to include the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS), the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), and Division of Health Care Quality (DHCQ).
