The Mental Health Association in Delaware
The Mental Health Association in Delaware is a state wide, nonprofit organization founded in 1932. We strive to strengthen knowledge, resources and support around mental health and recovery through various efforts (e.g. doing/hosting suicide prevention trainings, mental health presentations, annual conferences, tabling events, wellness groups, mental health screenings and peer support programs). We primarily serve individuals 18 years and above, but do some concentrated efforts for youth as well. We work collaboratively with many different organizations and committees such as the Behavioral Health Consortium and the Delaware Suicide Prevention Coalition, to name a few. MHA is an affiliate of Mental Health America. With 240 affiliates, Mental Health America represents the largest and oldest voluntary citizen’s organization concerned with mental health and mental illness.
