YMCA of Greater Brandywine

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is a non-profit community organization that focuses on the healthy spirit, mind and body of our members and community.  We have eight locations in Chester County, PA and more than 80,000 members. Our programs and facilities are always based on the unique needs and interests of the communities we serve. In addition, our volunteers, staff, members and donors are all united by a deep commitment to continually strengthen Chester County. At the Y, we know that lasting personal and social change comes about when we all work together. That’s why at the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

The Y internship opportunities are primarily focused around Youth Development, Community Outreach and Human Resources.  Youth Development could focus on our teen – Saturday Night Lights, Youth and Government – or school age or preschool age youth programs.  The Community Outreach could focus on outreach projects such as Thanksgiving baskets for the needy, Healthy Kids Day, Annual Giving campaigns.  The Human Resources opportunities would involve shadowing our branch Human Resources Coordinator.
