This year, the College of Education and Human Development hosted several events to help our alumni reconnect with each other during this fun-filled weekend.

  • Our CEHD Alumni Reception, May 31 from 6-8 p.m., took alumni on a ‘tour of the world’ as we highlight our study abroad program.  To celebrate UD’s 90th anniversary of Study Abroad, hors d’oeuvres, beverages, raffle baskets and live music had an international flavor.
  • On June 1, we hosted the Kid Zone during the Lunch with the Mascots. Parents and kids  enjoyed making crafts, playing with bubbles, book readings by our faculty and alumni,  Jazzersize with UD cheerleaders and a demonstration of Cole Galloway’s Go Baby Go equipment to help children with disabilities. We also sponsored a Parenting Table, providing convenient tip sheets on child development from our faculty.
  • From 12-2 p.m., Barnes & Noble held a children’s book signing for three UD alumni. Held on the front lawn of B&N, attendees at Newark Day were able to stroll up and meet the authors –  Laurie Krebs and Diane Salerni (both CEHD alumni) and Dana Davis.
