Access to Perkins Parking Garage will be limited March 28-April 1, to install gas lines.

  • Closure Details:
    Academy Street will be closed from the southern entrance of Perkins Parking Garage to East Park Place.
    Courtney Street from Academy Street to the exit from Perkins Parking Garage will be closed.

Alternative Routes:
Southbound traffic on Academy St will be able to detour around the Perkins Parking Garage.
Traffic wishing to go north on Academy St will need to follow a detour on roads around the area.
The closures will continue through the evening/night hours.

 

Jan/Feb 2016

Limited access to several CEHD buildings via Academy St. has been extended, due to January’s snowstorm. Roadwork will continue through Feb 27, 2016, relating to utility updates for the new Caesar Rodney Residence Hall. Affected buildings may include Alison Hall, Alison Hall West, Pearson Hall, 200 Academy and Perkins Parking Garage.

UPDATED Feb. 1 due to snow delays.

Closing schedule:

1/11-1/25 – Single lane closure of Academy St. All roads and intersections will be open at night.
1/2-2/3 – Intersection of Park Pl and Academy St closed. Full lane closure of Academy St between Park Place and Courtney St.  Lot 31 will be unavailable.
2/4-2/6 Single lane closure of Academy St. All roads and intersections will be open at night.
2/9-2/27 – Single lane closure of Academy St resumes. All roads and intersections will be open at night.

 

Additional Details:
Beginning the evening of 2/4/16 all roads and intersections will be open at night.
Weather could impact this progress and timing of this work significantly.
Mechanics and authorized personnel needing access to Hartshorn Hall may enter through the construction site on the north side.
