CEHD Professor’s Literacy Curriculum and Research Featured in Forbes

In a recent Forbes article, the Bookworms K-5 Reading and Writing curriculum, developed by College of Education and Human Development Professor Sharon Walpole, was featured for its evidence-based practices and success in improving student literacy outcomes. 

The article also references a study that Walpole conducted with colleague Henry May, associate professor in CEHD’s School of Education, and CEHD alum John Z. Strong. The study analyzes the impact of the Bookworms curriculum on more than 8,800 students in grades 2 through 5.
